Cameron Fraser founded Fraser Strategic Solutions to use his unique combination of exceptional financial modelling and data analysis skills, commercial acumen, and communication skills to drive value to a wide range of stakeholders.

Cameron is internationally recognised for his financial modelling skills.  In the 2025 season of the Financial Modelling World Cup, he is currently ranked 17th in the world and 2nd in New Zealand.  He was also highly ranked in the past 3 years: https://www.fmworldcup.com/rankings/

Cameron started his career at PwC.  The first three years were in Tax (2012-2015), and was often the “go to” person for Excel related help.  The next two years (2015-2017) were spent in the Consulting Finance and Economics team, where he found his passion for financial modelling, specialising in electricity lines distribution businesses, airports, and local and central government.  A highlight was modelling the introduction of Lotto's division 7, simulating thousands of lotto draws with various runs of Powerball jackpots.

Cameron then spent eight years (2017-2025) at Electric Kiwi, rising from Financial Analyst to Head of Commercial Finance.  Over the years, Cameron’s key responsibilities included:

• Leading the Commercial Finance / FP&A team

• Three way financial forecast (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)

• Gross margin forecasting

• Scenario analysis

• Retail pricing strategy and implementation

• Wholesale energy hedging

• SQL reporting, dashboarding and data analysis

• Board reporting

• Valuations

Cameron is married with a 1 year old daughter and is a ballroom dancer.
